The District is blessed with abundant natural resources. Some of the major economics activities of the District is Timbering, Plantation agriculture such as Kiwi and Elichi (cardamon), Fish rearing, vegetable gardening are the other economics activities of this district. The agriculture is the major economics activities of the people. Apatanis live on wet paddy cultivation with fish rearing called paddy-cum fish culture. The Nyishis of these belt practice terrace paddy cultivation and shifting agriculture practices.
